How to extract pages from a PDF

Four steps, no account, nothing to install.

  1. Add your PDF

    Drop in the file — or several, if the pages you need are spread across documents.

  2. Switch to Pages

    Flip the Files ⇄ Pages toggle and every page appears as its own numbered card.

  3. Select the pages you want

    Click pages to select them, shift-click to take a whole run at once, or type a list like 4-6, 12 into the selection box.

  4. Keep only these, then merge

    Press Keep only these, then Merge PDFs. You download a new PDF of just your chosen pages — the original file isn't modified.

Getting three pages out of a fifty-page document

Most documents that need extracting are compilations: a signed contract buried in a scanned packet, one chapter of a manual, the two pages of a bank statement a lender actually asked for. Sending the whole file means making the other person dig — and sometimes means sending pages they shouldn't see at all. The clean move is a new PDF that contains exactly the relevant pages and nothing else.

Extraction here is visual. Every page is a thumbnail on a grid, so you select what you can see: click the pages you want, shift-click to grab a run of them, or type the positions — 4-6, 12 — if you already know them. One press of Keep only these drops everything else, and the merged download is your new document. Since selection works across files, pages from several PDFs can be pulled into a single new file in one pass.

The pages carry over exactly as they are in the source — content, images, and layout, with no watermark added. Password-protected files are the one exception: they need their password removed before their pages can be worked on.

Does extracting pages change the original PDF?

No. The original file on your device stays exactly as it is. The pages you keep are saved as a brand-new PDF, and the source document is untouched.

Can I extract pages that aren't next to each other?

Yes. Type a list like 4-6, 12 into the selection box, or click pages individually — any combination works, consecutive or not. The new PDF contains exactly the pages you selected, in the order shown on the grid.

Can I pull pages from several PDFs into one new file?

Yes. Add all the files, select pages across any of them, and press Keep only these. The result downloads as a single new PDF containing just those pages — a three-page brief assembled from three different documents, if that's what you need.
