Terms of Service

In plain terms: this tool is free and provided as-is. We keep no copies of your files and cannot recover a document for you, so hold on to your originals. Check your merged document before relying on it for anything that matters, and don't use the site to break the law.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MergePDFPro website at mergepdfpro.com (the “Service”), operated by Zonepdf Inc. (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

The Service is a free web tool that combines PDF files you select into a single document. We do not store or retain the files you merge or the merged result. No account or registration is required.

3. Your files and your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the documents you choose to merge. By using the Service you confirm that you have the legal right to use and combine those documents, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.

We hold no copies of your documents and cannot retrieve, restore, or recover a file for you under any circumstances. Keep your original files until you have confirmed the merged result is correct.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

In particular, we do not warrant that the merged output will be free of defects or suitable for any particular purpose. Certain PDF features are not carried into the merged document — see the About page for the known limitations. You should open and check the merged file before relying on it, especially for legal, financial, medical, or official submissions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to process material you have no right to process;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or the systems that host it;
  • misrepresent the Service as your own, or remove or obscure any proprietary notices;
  • use automated means to hammer the Service in a way that degrades it for others.

6. Intellectual property

The MergePDFPro name, logo, site design, and written content are owned by Zonepdf Inc. and may not be copied or reused without permission, except as permitted by law.

You retain all rights in the documents you merge. We claim no ownership or licence over them — which follows naturally from never receiving them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zonepdf Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities. In those jurisdictions, the above exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Privacy

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
